About

Landskrona Foto has in recent years been established as one of the Nordic regions’ eminent photography initiatives and includes the renowned Landskrona Foto Festival.

What winners receive

It’s an opportunity for a photographer or artist working with photography and/or lens based media to have time and space away from their usual environment and obligations. The residency takes place for 6 weeks from mid-October to end of November 2018. The residency photographer receives a grant of 15000 SEK (approx. 1500 EUR), travel expenses to and from the home country (economy only), an apartment in Landskrona, and a desk in our office.

Landskrona Foto connects the photographer in residency with regional-based photographers, artist and other art professionals through meetings, mentoring, exhibition openings and other networking opportunities.

How to enter

  • Motivation for applying for a residency at Landskrona Foto in Landskrona, Sweden
  • Presentation of the photographers practice and project proposal, we encourage the photographer to engage in a project related to Landskrona.
  • Upload image documentation of previous projects. Max two projects 5-10 images in each.
  • A current CV with link to the applicant’s website

Jurors

Anastasia Mityukova , visual artist.
Anastasia Mityukova (Switzerland) visual artist, independent curator, co-director of Photobooks Switzerland (Bienne) at the Photoforum Pasquart. Anastasia holds a Bachelor's degree in visual communication (specialization in photography) from the Lausanne University of arts (ECAL). She now works on a personal project called "Project Iceworm", a long term research about a nuclear base in Greenland. www.anastasiamityukova.ch

Anna Nordquist Andersson, artist and photographer.
She is educated at the Malmö Art Academy 1997-2002. She exhibits both in Sweden and internationally and has made several public art commissions. She has also made Artist books at Kalejdoskop förlag and Sailor press. She works as a principal teacher in photography at Östra Grevie Folkhögskola and also as a supervisor and lecturer at the Academy Valand. www.annanordquistandersson.se

Jenny Lindhe, Landskrona Foto.
Jenny Lindhe (Swe) who has a background in fine-art photography works as a curator and artist. She is Head of Photographs Collection at Landskrona Foto and the Project Manager of The Photo Book Days at Landskrona Foto Festival. She is also the founder and organizer of the bookprize Landskrona Foto & Breadfield Dummy Award and the publisher of Breadfield Press.

Raffaele Piano, Landskrona Foto.
Raffaele Piano (Italy). After his studies in Digital Arts at La Sapienza University and a Master in Photography at CSF – Ansel Adams in Rome, moved in Iceland for an internship at the Reykjavik Museum of Photography’s archive. After this experience he moved to Sweden where he continue his projects and has started his collaboration with Galleri CC and different artists.
