Graziadei Prize was established in 2012 by Graziadei Law Firm to promote young Italian photographers and is now at its sixth edition. The application shall be submitted from December 30th, 2017 until March 16th, 2018 by Italian artists aged under 35 years who use the medium of photography.
We therefore invite young Italian photographers to submit their application using the website graziadei.org or picter.com and following the instructions specified therein according to the terms and conditions of the call published in the same websites.
The winner will have the chance to show his or her work in a public museum or institution in Rome and, due to the grant of 5.000 euro, he or she will have one year to realize a completely new series of works which will be shown in a public museum or institution in Rome after one year starting from the date the Prize has been awarded.
Applications will be evaluated by a jury composed of internationally renowned photographers and curators as Andrea Botto (photographer, winner of the first edition of Graziadei Prize), Marco Delogu (photographer, director of the Italian Cultural Institute in London), Francesco Neri (photographer, winner of the first edition of Graziadei Prize), Thomas Seelig (curator, director of the Fotomuseum Winterthur) together with Francesco Graziadei (lawyer, partner of the Graziadei Law Firm).
In particular the jurors will pay attention to the originality of the proposed project, the adherence to the contemporaneity, the expressive quality and rigor in artistic research, the curriculum of the candidate. The ideal candidate for the Graziadei Prize will have to demonstrate an advanced level of maturity within its artistic research and yet show the way for a further future development.
