THE FUTURE IN A CLICK: IDEAS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COUNTRY is a free photo contest open to all young people aged between 14 and 24 years of any country of origin, residing in the Tuscany Region. Professional photographers are excluded. The prize focuses on the themes of reception, interaction, cooperation and collaboration seen as a synergistic flywheel of opportunities. The theme can be declined on the environment, economy and social reality in Tuscany. It can be developed in the ways that are deemed most consistent, always with the image as a tool to narrate reality.

What winners receive

The winner will receive a prize consisting of tourist vouchers, to spend on the territory and a specific interview on the online magazine www.stradenuove.net, where the photos of the winning report will also be published. Will also be carried out actions on social media to promote the winner, and any honorable mentions, on the channels of Primavera d'Impresa, the magazine www.stradenuove.net and the newspaper Il Tirreno.

The winning photoreportage will be the subject of a digital exhibition, inaugurated on the day of the award ceremony, in the AtlantePhotoExpo exhibition space. Compatibly with the Covid-19 situation, the organization reserves the right to organize also an in-person photographic exhibition, in a location to be defined.

Judging criteria

Submitted photos must be a true representation of reality and must not be posed or staged. Portraits are excluded, but it must be clearly stated in the photo captions (IPTC).

Allowed photos can be digital or analog (scanned and saved as in art. 3 of the contest rules). Basic post-production is allowed, but the meaning must not be altered in any way through digital post-production software. Photographs may be in color or black and white. Files altered to sepia tone are not accepted. Subjects and objects may not be added/removed from images. Photos must not be distorted and only single exposures are allowed. Photomontages are not accepted.

In case of doubts about the veracity of the images, the award management may ask the candidate for the original files (RAW), which, if not submitted within 4 days of the formal request, may disqualify the candidate from the contest.

All photo stories must consist of photos taken between January 1, 2021 and May 30, 2022. A photo story is a series of images, a maximum of 10 but not less than 8, on the same subject related to the topic.
