About

The 2019 ARTPHILEIN PHOTOBOOK PROJECT CONTEST is launched by De Pietri Artphilein Foundation www.artphilein.org and it’s a collateral event of the Bi11 – CRASH (eleventh edition of the Biennale dell’immagine, Chiasso, Switzerland – www.biennaleimmagine.ch). The theme of the contest is CRASH in all its meanings both negative (clash, breaking ...) and positive (rebirth, change ...). The contest is open to artists and photographers with no restrictions based on age or nationality.

The award grants the winner:
(i) a 7-day residency at the Artphilein Library, Lugano (accommodation included)
(ii) assistance by the Organizer through every stage of producing, editing and designing the photobook
(iii) a financial contribution of CHF 5’000 (five thousand Swiss Francs) for the production of the photobook in at least 150 copies to be published by Artphilein Editions.
